| Designers |
|
Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding offers opportunities at several levels for Designers to develop design models and drawings according to engineering diagrams and ship specifications.

| Engineers |
|
A variety of careers are available for Naval Architects and Marine, Electrical, Structural, Environmental, Quality Assurance, Industrial, and Test Engineers. Manager positions are also offered. |
| Contracts |
| Several opportunities exist for contract administration professionals, including Contract Administrators, Contract Specialists, and Subcontract Administrators. |
| Supply-Chain Management |
| Buyers, Subcontract Administrators, Material Analysts, and Material Project Administrators are only a few of the positions available in Supply-Chain Management. These professionals are responsible for purchasing the materials and complex equipment that go aboard the ships. They are also responsible for administering the material plan for establishing and controlling budgets on material projects, providing cost and schedule visibility, and correlating the development of material requirements with the establishment of procurement schedules.

| Planning |
| As a Program Planner, we’ll challenge your program planning/scheduling experience as well as your ship drawings and systems knowledge. Opportunities also exist for Maintenance Planners who are responsible for the planning and coordination of parts, equipment, and manpower. In a position as a Production Planner, you plan, prepare, issue, and control production schedules and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. |
| Pipefitters |
| We currently have several opportunities for journeyman Pipefitters with three to five years’ experience and the ability to lay out, fabricate, fit, install, burn (torch), and read blueprints. |
| Pipewelders |
| Journeyman Pipewelders with TIG experience will find Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding a great place to exploit their skills and build a great career. |
| Shipfitters and Outfitters |
| We invite individuals with three to five years of heavy shipbuilding experience to join our team. |
| Welders |
| Structural welders with at least three years’ experience in vertical, horizontal, and overhead welding should explore the opportunities at Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding.

| Apprentice Programs |
For workers just beginning their careers, apprenticeship programs are available that will develop skills in the shipbuilding crafts of boilermaker/shipfitter, pipefitter, sheetmetal, inside/outside machinist, carpenter, joiner/insulator, electrician, pipewelder, welder, and painter.
